Göttingen International

The University of Göttingen is highly reputed throughout the world of academia and research. Its partnerships within the Coimbra Group and the U4 Network, active agreements running with institutions of higher education in ninety countries, a raft of scholarship/fellowship opportunities for international students and researchers, and more than fifty English-language Master and Ph.D. programmes – these offer some indication of the University’s strongly international stance.

The International Office

The University of Göttingen would not be same without numerous international partnerships and exchange opportunities, international students and academics on campus, who come from more than 130 countries.

The International Office seeks to increase further the proportion of students and researchers from abroad, as well as to extend the breadth and depth of our international networks.

We coordinate the international relations of the University and provide counseling and services for international students, academics and non-academic staff, as well as for those from Göttingen who are planning their study, research or staff exchange abroad.

Apart from that we are working closely with our liaison offices in China and India , with our growing alumni network around the world, and with the international community of students and researchers currently hosted in Göttingen.
